I chose the Accelero Xtreme. Looks better and cools better imho. Your opinion may differ though. I will say this. @ 100 percent fan speed these Accelero is dead quiet.

warranty should cover the fan.... I've heard XFX will sometimes even just sent out a replacment fan so you have no down time.

Xfx just told me to contact my retailer. I don't like dealing with my retailer, their staff are noobs.

Between the 2, Xtreme is better in cooling and noise.

Buy them seperate, for 5870, the VR001 set is the compatible set.

You could get an Xtreme 5870 that comes with RAM sinks. There's 2 types available on mwave the refurbished ones, and some brand new ones, both are cheaper than a AXP with VR001. Be wary of that refurbished though, who knows what issues lie with it, but at least it's quite cheap.

Zalman has a better Vram cooler as it's a full plate you mount onto the PCB whereas the AXP have just a buch of little individual heatsinks. The Zalman cools just as well if not better. biggrin.gif

Zalman. Roughly the same performance, but better fit and finish imo. Plus as Imglidinhere stated, better VRM cooling, which is very important.
