[CVG]PS3 Crysis 2 matches 360 version - Crytek

Quote:
Crysis 2 executive producer Nathan Camarillo has denied reports that there's a gulf in quality between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Crysis 2, which launches next week.

Asked by the PlayStation Blog about some negative preview write-ups of the PS3 edition, the developer said: "I've gone on the record saying that if you stick PS3 and 360 side by side I would challenge anyone to find any meaningful difference. I don't see it at all."

...

Camarillo also told the PS Blog that both console versions were a good match for the PC edition.

Meaning they compromised one for the other.

Yeah, no noticeable difference at all.

Of course he's going to say they are equal at the moment.
A year or two down the line if there are any striking differences, THEN they will be admitted as to not affect sales for a particular platform on game launch.

I can barely tell the difference between the ps3 version and the PC version. 360 version loooks slightly worse. Notice, how the water isn't dripping down when he is in the bathroom for the 360 version?
Wait, how long ago did the PS3 demo come out? That's the only system I can currently play it on, so... kind of want to enjoy it.
wow 360 looks worse than ps3......and having a pc version in this comparison proves just how much of a port this game really is

No noticeable difference between the PS3 and Xbox other than the fact that the PS3 version would only appeal to emos due to how drab and boring the color scheme is. The Xbox version looks dull to, but at least can throw in some cool lighting here and there......

No noticeable difference between consoles? Are those guys blind or what?
1) The water in the third shot on the PS3 version isn't in the Xbox
2) The HUD in the PS3 and PC is blurry as hell and looks way better on Xbox
3) Xbox textures for the bathrooms are a bit "warmer" in color, PS3 looks almost black&white in there.

Anyway, the console versions look amazing, specially if you consider that this game is just an AAA console port. I'm however not happy with the PC version, the difference is quite minimal.
