I'm still pretty new at this, but I do know that processor is not a black edition, thus no unlocked multiplier, and OC'ing will be more difficult.

It also lacks L3 cache.

I just spent about the same about on a 565, and it's unlocked to a quad, and is OC'ing pretty well so far. I haven't found its limit yet (currently working on it as we speak)

I'd rethink the propus route if I were looking into OC'ing, personally.

Someone more experienced might be able to actually answer the question you asked, though, I can't answer it myself. Too inexperienced as of yet

EDIT: If you've actually already purchased the CPU, please disregard everything I've said. Sorry

Defintiely not with that stock cooler. And like Bootsand mentioned, OCing that chip by the bus only will also require that your chipset and ram be OC'd as well. Also, am not sure how well those Athlon IIs OC. Do some digging around on this site, there are tons of guys with similar CPUS that could help out

The other guy was right. U have no L3 Cache. Also u should have got the same CPU as Bootsand.

P.S.: What do you think of my new pc? I might Crossfire my PC with another XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850 B.E. soon. (Finally found a 775 mobo that supports CFX).
