It's not a 'sli problem' as a single card will do the same thing if you make the gfx load easy enough to run. It's just more likely to occur in SLI because you have double the gfx power. Does this downclocking ever cause you to dip to low FPS? Because it doesn't cause any actual problems for me whatsoever.

Screen tearing is also more likely to occur in SLI because the FPS is more likely to be in excess of 60fps.

Yes, when it drops to 405 mhz the game drops to < 30 FPS

No "by design" setting should overrule me telling my videocards to never downclock. Thet's just silly if it does.

Me - "Video card, I bought you and I want you to always run at 850mhz no matter what."
