Stability and Overclocking Questions

Thread Starter
Recently I decided to dive back into overclocking with the current build I have listed below. Over the last few days I've tried unsuccessfully to overclock my cpu to 4GHz. Between LinX crashing during testing, various BSOD's and deciphering the error messages still no luck.

I've tried to produce a stable OC with my VCore voltages anywhere from 1.35-1.4, my VTT anywhere betwen 1.225-1.35, and my PLL 1.800-1.9
I also read on the EVGA forums about increasing my PCIE frequency to 104MHz without it doing anything in terms of stability. I've also tried the overclock with manually setting the QPI frequency to 4.270 GT/s and running it with and without VDroop.

I'm starting to suspect that the CPU might be bad or I'm just doing something so outright wrong.
I also recently ran memtest on all 4 sticks of my ram without any errors returning.

Anyone care to add some suggestions or thoughts? I'm out of ideas at this point...

No some CPUs need even more voltage that 1.4v. I think you may need a little more VTT but I am not sure.

Also up the PCH voltage by 2-3 notches.
