6 Core Compatibility

Thread Starter
I have the Gigabyte board in my specs. I have read that it will support the X6 Line of processors with a bios upgrade. I check gigabytes web site and the Bios that allows this is a beta. I believe it is bios version F8G.

Anyone using these bios? If so, are there any issues?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Money Pit

At least F8F BIOS is required for proper x6 support with no problems, at least when overclocking. I've tried this for myself; F8E BIOS and below had major problems with the x7 and x8 northbridge multipliers. Great board for clocking the x6 though the latest BIOS out there is F8G so you're fine.
