best/nicest tech benches?

Thread Starter
since ieatfish wont sell his and i dont have the time or paitence to build one i;m looking to buy a tech bench.

i kinda just tired of a huige case sitting nest to me and would rather show off some of the nice crap that i have instead of hiding it inside a black monster that is the 800D....

anyways, I need to have space for 2 or 3 5.25 devices, 3 hard drives and some way to mount my watercooling stuff (pump, 250 res, 360 and 240 rad)

i know you will say just keep it in a case with all that crap but that has to be a descent tech bench out there that is made to house water cooling parts.

also some stuff can be deleted. i can ditch the 240 rad and get a micro res or something to save space

Budget?

There are many nice ones and Microcool Banchetto 101 is certainly one of the best.

It meets all your needs except that you have to ditch a 240 rad.
It can accomodate three 5.25'' devices, four 3.25'' devices, a 360 rad and with space to place a pump and res.

Here are some pics to feast on.

Ditch the 240mm radiator. You don't need a reservoir, a T could do you good and save space but if you want to then go for it.

Banchetto is a good choice! I am looking forward to see your final setup. Remember to post some pics!

The 5th pic in my above post shows a res hanging onto the HDD module.
Here are 2 pics showing a res at the rear onto the radiator module. This location should not be very helpful as you will use a 360, leaving no space for a res.
All these pics show work by German guys.

Here is a useful review done by an Italian guy. Numerous photos!
Of interest to you is his using of an EK 150 res, installed to the side of the HDD module as well.
So, it seems that hanging onto the HDD module is a good place for a res (because there are screw holes).

I have tried some of the Italian guy's other ideas too:
a. Using a Nexus Beam Air to improve air flow (I am still using one)
b. Using a 140mm fan underneath the CPU socket area (I have tested this and found it does not make much difference in regular overclocking. So, I have stopped using it)

Thanks for the links. I'm defiantly going to hang the 150 res off the hd cage and I have a fitting that is back to back g1/4 threads so I can thread the pump right into the bottom of the res.

Also can the mobo tray only be turned 180 degrees or can you turn it 90 degrees if you want? I want to try and make my cable routing as clean as possible and I'm just worried how it is going to look with the 6 pin connectors going to my gpu. I have extension cables for almost everything so length won't be a problem.

aslo what the chance that this will fit a e-atx mobo? I have a Maximus IV Extreme and i was wondering if it will cover the power/reset buttons...

i have all the buttons on the board so its not a huge deal but just curious
