then again im a huge fan of the first one too, the gameplay was epic.

Crysis 2 haters, especially those noobs hating on something as simple as a screenshot, you are either new to Crysis or you're simply jumping on the band wagon coz it seems like the cool thing to do to go against the norm and hate on a new game. one that isnt even released and thanks to lazy devs, we havnt even truly seen in its full form (multiplayer demo was already confirmed as a port i believe).
This.

Even if the game ends up looking just like it does in the beta, we'll still have the editor to play with, and hopefully make it look better than the original Crysis.

I'm not in denial because I don't agree with your unsubstantiated opinion. Nor am I in denial because I would rather wait until the game is released before I start to complain about what it is or isn't.

  1. I've played both Crysis and Crysis 2 DEMO side-by-side and I don't think so. They look about the same to me and I think a LOT more detail is going to come from Dx 11. Most of what the kiddies are saying looks worse aren't things that are important. Things like the ground detail or the roof detail.
  2. Proof?
  3. But how is that somehow consolized or dumbing it down? Half-Life 1 and 2 are like that. Metro 2033 is like that. Portal is like that. TONS of FPSs are like that. It helps them to narrate the story and polish gameplay more.
  4. The game isn't released yet so it's not a fact, but even if this stays the same I would have to see it first hand to comment on how good or bad it is but it sounds like you're exaggerating.
  5. The game isn't released yet so it's not a fact but even if the multiplayer graphics stay the same I have no issues with that. The graphics in there were good so I see no problem. Your definition of a port is pretty damn broad.
  6. The game isn't released yet so it's not a fact but if the game stays that way I won't find it more than the most minor of inconveniences.

  1. I won't have an issue with the Dx9-only at release, depending on how fast and how much they do with the Dx 11 patch. If Dx 11 fixes the roads, floors and ceilings and comes out a few days after release then you just come off as a petty whiner
  2. I've already touched on the graphics options and your opinion that Crysis 2 looks worse than Crysis 1.
  3. I don't care that Sandbox 3 isn't shipped with Crysis 2 and you have no legitimate complaint in this area until we see how long it'll take them. If they have it out in a couple of weeks, then you just come off as a petty whiner.
  4. Post a link to the comparison between the Beta and final version please.

Considering how disrespectful many in the community have been towards them I don't blame them for ignoring the questions for now.

Until it's proven that the Beta is 100% the actual game, why would what's in the Beta matter? Why can't you wait 2 whole days to see what the finished product is? Are you in some forum race to exaggerate as much as possible with as little fact as possible? You might be right, you might be wrong, but speaking about it in such concrete terms without proof that you are right is just illogical to me. Only haters and fanboys do that. LoL just wait 2 whole days and then you can rip the game to your hearts content and you'll have concrete detail behind you. Right now you just sound foolish in assuming so much from so little.

LoL first of all nowhere did I say that I settle for mediocrity, I just don't get all OCD about the pebbles on the ground if the gameplay is great. To you, minute details and being able to wow yourself at screenshots is important. To me it's not.

They deserve my pre-order considering I listened to the Crysis 1 haters and stayed away until it was a bargain bin pickup. If the game is good then I'll continue to buy Crytek, If it's bad then If i really like where they are with the rest of the game I might forward my review of the game like I did to Gabe Newell and Half-Life 2:Episode 2. Or like I did with that horrible Fight Night Round 4. http://www.overclock.net/playstation...ml#post6641803

THAT is how you critique a game, not by using exaggeration and blanket statements with no facts or specific support for your opinions.
That's it i'm done talking to you , i'm not even going to bother pointing out your flawed logic and misinterpreting me.
You're an obvious troll.
