DX10 did nothing in Crysis 1 aside from tiny little things like dynamic rainbow effects underwater. Everything else was possible in DX9. Why anyone thinks that DX11 support is magically going to change anything in the game is totally beyond me. It's not going to do anything - at most some tessellation which hopefully won't be as poorly used as Dragon Age 2.
Exactly, to an average game, DX10/DX11 are just small, elegant extra features. I've never seen a DX11 game look dramatically better than a DX9 game. The original Crysis in DX9 looks much better than Crysis 2 in DX9. That's all that matters.
To be fair, who knows, MAYBE, Crytek's DX11 patch will add new textures and so forth. But if that's the case, they're updating it post-release, so if you're that concerned about it, you should buy post-release. No use buying the game then crying about it because it may not even come, and most likely it'll be insignificant as stated above.
