quick question about memory patriot Viper II Sector 7 6gb ddr3 2000mhz

i have Patriot Viper II Sector 7 Edition 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000). and installed it to my motherboard ASUS P6X58D-E.. is it safety to using the QPI VOLTAGE: 1.6V and Dram 1.65v...?

They are rated for 1.65 volts, so you should be fine. If you are having stability issues, bump it up to 1.65 volts.

hello there!... thanks for reply, but the voltage for the ram i set it 1.65v, but my question is about QPI VOLTAGE..

Is that what XMP is setting the VTT voltage to or are you testing as you go & need that much for stability? XMP frequently overvolts the QPI/VTT, sometimes by a lot...
1.6V won't necessarily do damage to the cpu, but will add some heat. Which cpu are you testing on?

yes the XMP setting is QPI voltage:1.6v and memory 1.65v to run at speed 2000mhz.. my cpu is I7-950 overclock to 4.2mhz...

set qpi at 1.35... thats max for intel spec...

I run my 6 sticks at 1.66 dram and 1.32 qpi volts
