Good 775 MB for ocing (q6600) ?

Thread Starter
So I cant get my cpu past 3.3Ghz stable, which is a shame really, and I am quite certain that it is the MBs fault since I have read that it is not that good for OCing, so is there a relatively cheap/budget MB that will let me OC more ?
My goal is getting to 3.6 GHz, if that is possible with this cooler though (I may need a few more fans and a better thermal paste, but that is beside the point).

Or a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P or UD3P

Lets not forget the BIOSTAR P45 board (forget what it was called)

P45 boards are real champs if you find the right one. The UD3P/UD3R (P has 2 PCIe slots and supports Xfire, R has 1 slot) are getting to be hard to find. No one wants to get rid of them. They are much cheaper than the Asus board, but they still kick some but.

Lets not forget about the ASUS P5Q Turbo I think. Another great board.

I'd have to agree w/ Xeb. P45 are great but very hard to find at a good price.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-P5Q-SE-2-P4...item41574f71e0

I lucked out and got a Maximus Formula w/ Q6600 and 2GB of OCZ for $150. There are good deals out there. I have no regrets w/ ASUS at all. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1711454
Good Luck!
