Help Picking Triple Gaming Monitors

Thread Starter
Greetings OCN!

I am getting myself an upgraded rig in which I will be replacing nearly 90% of the parts I currently have to include a new Mobo, Graphics cards, and some SSD for OS booting and some game booting. Right now, I am looking hard into getting me triple monitors for when I go and buy the new ATI 6990s. Initially, I will be getting one at a time, until I get three all together. Price is really not an issue (Thank the USAF for that...) so I am just looking for the most crisp monitors out there for the new 6990s. Usual games I play include, but not limited to; World of Warcraft, Rift, Eve, Crysis 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Farcry, and upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic and Diablo III. Yes, the limiting factor to some of these games (WoW, SWTOR, etc.) are that many MMOs are not that graphically intense... But I am looking it more for Crysis 2 benchmarks and 3D Mark tests.

Also, side note, if anyone knows of some good hardware to sync with a beast rig, feel free to leave your 2 cents or PM me with some suggestions.

Many Thanks!

That's pretty funny, I leave for basic in about 15 days. Can't wait.

If I were you, I'd go with a Dell Ultrasharp. I currently own a U3011, but I doubt you'd want three of these....(or do you!)

It depends on what kind of very angles you want.

If you're not too fussed about verying angles the Samsung 2443BW 24" is one hell of a monitor and is great for triple displays and has an extremely thin bezel

However if you like your quality IPS panel the Dell U2410 is great for eyefinity setups.

Personally I'd go with the 2443BW's as they're fantastic bang for the buck there, and I've always loved Samsung monitors. This is coming from someone with a Dell U2711

But it doesn't matter which of these monitors you go with you won't be disappointed

EDIT: Or you could go with what Methos07 hinted at and grab Three Dell U3011's Personally if you do go down the route of a Dell monitor and want a big one just grab three Dell U2711's they're fantastic and in some ways beat the Dell U3011. I intend to grab another two for my end of year upgrade.

But again it depends on how much money you want to spend and what you're looking for.

Well I'm planing to go 3xDell U2311 for my 6970CF setup. Since money is not an issue, you can go bigger i guess.

Really? My supplier over here in Australia still has 11 in their warehouse It's a shame they don't sell internationally otherwise I would've linked you.

Thanks, but I live in Serbia anyway, so shipping would probably cost more than my house!

I forgot about the 2343 Samsungs they're the ones with the pretty cool 2,048 x 1,152 resolution. I forgot about those mainly because they don't sell them in Australia

But they're always another option as well. The 2443's have a very versitial stand that allows them to be placed in a portrait mode or landscape mode, which I don't believe the 2343's have. But if you're going to get a stand like Juggalo I wouldn't worry about it too much and just grab Juggalo's setup
