I tethered using my Incredible for months up at school last fall. Never heard a peep from them.

Sorry, I wasn't talking specifically about tethering with Verizon, just their general practices. I have them, and they have good service, but their company can take a dirt nap.

And then they are trying to punish people who used there toys in a manner they didn't see fit.

You don't need to be a liberal "douche' to understand basic facts about how corporations are soul-less jerks.

Does anyone know if AT&T is including Android phones in this? I've been tethering my captivate since I got it and I average around 10GB a month.

lol AT&T is a joke. I have them and would gladly leave if it weren't for me already being grandfathered in. Plus when I leave the states my network is active unlike verizon. Still when the galaxy S2 comes i'm dropping this iphone like a bad habit.

I just hope that Rogers doesn't follow suit with this... That would suck... I don't know why they even ban tethering with data plans that are not unlimited... The user pays for that bandwidth, and it is limited too -- where is the problem? For unlimited, okay, something could be in place, but even still, the user is paying for that bandwidth, unlimited or not, that is what AT&T gave them for a price, and the end user should be allowed to use it in any way they see fit, as long as it is for "legitimate" use of course.

I'm sure the Dev team will Pwn this and put the JB iPhones in stealth mode when tethering.

Is 3G speed that fast? I can't imagine using my Iphone's 3G internet as my main internet connection. In fact every time I download something over 3G it averages 1-1.5mbit/s. However if I do a speed test it says it can do like 5mbit/s download. To me 1.5mbit/s is not acceptable

Why on earth would you guys share your Phone's Internet unless it's actually kind of fast. Or just to really save and no pay for Internet on your PC.
