My laptop is acting WEIRD, can you help me?

Thread Starter
Hi guys, recently purchased a Gateway NV59 laptop 15.6" screen with the i5 430M and other basic features such as a 300GB harddrive and Intel HD graphics.

Well, immediately upon receiving it from Newegg (I bought it refurbished I SHOULD ADD!), I wiped off the Old windows 7 and installed a fresh new copy.

Anyway, now, roughly 3 months later, when I boot up my laptop and the windows 7, right before the "enter password" screen to log onto the desktop, my screen goes black for approx. 10 seconds, and there is a lag on my keyboard, meaning when I attempt to type my password, nothing types.... So all in all, it takes very long, like 30 seconds additionally after the BIOS screen to log onto my desktop and it never did this before??

Any help?

This may sound crazy, and i can not explain why.....but try starting it up with the battery removed and see if it does the same thing.

My laptop did the same thing, and it drove me nuts. I spent like 6 month trying to figure it out.
