Northbridge O/C Decreasing performance

Thread Starter
Hi,

I’m very new to overclocking and haven’t looked at anything other than real-time GPU overclocks and the CPU multiplier, I read up on these forums and elsewhere than O/Cing the Northbridge is vital when your CPU is O/Ced especially on Phenom IIs.

Current CPU-Z: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1718040

So far I haven't had much luck despite no blue screens but tbh I don’t really know what I’m doing.

I had increased the CPU/NB to 2,800MHz w/ 1.350V and the HT to 2,000MHz as someone recommended.

Here are some Heaven Benchmark 2.1 results albeit a GPU intensive benchmark (someone recommend some good benchmarks )

Could anyone explain what I did wrong or whether I’m missing something?

You may want to look at your ram divider and knocking it down a notch?and possibly setting your timings to default ratings.

overclocking your nb has knock on effects wityh the rest of the stsyem so knocking the other bits back to default still reaps rewards and also rules them out of possible BSOD's so its overclocking each component one footstep at a time

increasing ram volts abit may help too

Uh, the RAM divider means nothing on AMD systems.

Those RAM timing are the default as stated on the ram themselves, what would you recommend toning down?
