Hey chums,

I have a set of 5.1 speakers plugged into my SoundBlaster sound card. Sometimes while watching videos or listening to music, I notice things become quieter for a good 15-20 seconds. It sounds like the center speaker isn't putting off any sound. All my connections are tight and good to go, so it shouldn't be that.

I'm just wondering what this could mean. Is that particular speaker going bad? Could it be a sound card problem? I am trying to figure out if I need to go out and buy new speakers or not. I've had these for a good six years or so.
