This sounds stupid, but there's reason behind it.

I've got a PC that's going down the shed, not got enough plugs for a separate TV. It has an AVerMedia TV tuner (which ISN'T DVB-T as far as I'm aware), but also has an S-Video IN. S-Video obviously doesn't carry sound. The PC has a Sound Blaster 24-bit, with a Line In jack socket.

If I got an S-Video to RCA adapter (with the 3.5mm jack lead coming off it - I have seen these), plugged the RCA to SCART lead that I have with the Freeview box into this, and then plugged the jack into the Line In on the SB, would it work? How would I view this input? I'd be using Windows 7, and Ubuntu 10.04
