"Fire & Ice" - Case Labs M8 WC'd - Thread revived - final pics to come shortly - Page 14

@Bird - I was taught using the hook method, and have tried using the twist method as you describe. I never felt comfortable with it though. I found that I would handle the wire like it was now a super fragile glass string or something equally silly . . . I would venture a guess that like a lot of things, most people tend to do things how they were originally taught, or at least how they've been doing it the longest.

I agree with your 2nd point also - which is why went with soldering instead of splitters.

I'm working some OT this week, but my goal is to get the rest of the fans wired in like this last update, and then to begin on the motherboard cabling and sleeving. I've tried to wipe my weekend calendar so I can get as much of the wiring down this week as possible.

More pics will be coming this weekend. I've been pulling 14 hour days all week, and it looks to continue until Friday. I've wiped my schedule clean for the weekend and will be wiring like crazy all weekend.

Thank you all

My goal of getting all the wiring done . . . has failed. frown.gif

However, I have gotten quite a bit done, but the monotany of sleeving and wiring got to me. I had to break up all the wiring a bit so I made the choice to work on a few small projects as well

I'm spending the rest of today working on the build, and there will be a big update tonite. Until then, here are a couple teaser shots of the rads and top fans sleeved and installed.

Please forgive the messy background of the picks. My wife has segregated me to one corner of a room. Now with my back deck gone, my only working space is a folding card table . . . through this whole build I've said work with what ya got, and I'm doing just that.
