Edit: Hey wait, FDS: this isn't your thread. confused.gif

lol, I'm not sure if OP is still here. I'm having the exact same problem he described though. Right now I'm only using the U2311H@ 1920x1080, P1130 is disconnected.

When I up my settings to get my FPS down to about ~40-50 the tearing is definitely more tolerable. It's still there though.

EDIT#2: OK, I definitely found the solution now. You need to enable Vsync r_vSync 1 when the game is in unrestricted mode. You can use con_restricted=0 to get out of restricted mode. Alternatively you can run the game in -devmode by adding -devmode to the crysis.exe shortcut target. You also want to enable d3d9_TripleBuffering = 1 with Vsync (game restart required)

I got all of this from here: http://www.tweakguides.com/Crysis_9.html

props to tweak guides man, he is awesome

btw I am running 11.2 driver version and set CCC to
Wait for Vertical Refresh: "Off, unless application specifies"
OpenGL Settings: Triple buffering ticked

I have no tearing at all now with these settings.

I've tried a few other games, and with them enabling Vsync and triple buffering fixes the problem right up. For this reason I think telling CCC to hold Vsync on is being overridden by the Crysis settings. I've also tried rivatuner and a couple random tools to try to force Vsync on no matter what, all to no avail.

I'm thinking it has something to do with updating ATI's drivers. A year ago this wasn't a problem, and I've got 11.2 running right now.

I'm pretty new to this sort of phenomena. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks!
Try d3doverrider and force vsync/tripple buffer and add the crysis.exe to the list. Google 3d3 or d3d / overrider.
