What kind of temps are you getting? What kind of psu do you have?

PSU is a corsair ax1200.. was going to be a 3 way sli system, but the other 2 cards went to the step up program, and this one is cranky... It hits 90 under full load, idles around 50. About the same as the other 2.

You want to set 1200.

Why not try a voltage bump to see if it stabilizes?

How much of a bump? Never messed with GPU voltage before. Next step up from stock is 1.138v. Go more?

well i would flash back to 1st bios. and play with msi afterburner, seems like it need more volts. depending on artifacts. My 480s did not like memery higher, but core did not care. i had her @ 850 cores till stepup came up. My 480s where, 1.065 volts and 1.036 volts. i put At 1.125 @ 850 cores. Good luck tho. ebays u r warned smile.gif

You could take it to the max volts in afterburner just to test stability which if I recall 1.138. Also make sure you up your fan speed to 100%

Increasing the voltage didn't seem to have any effect, even at low clocks max voltage its unstable. I'm starting to think the card is just on its way out... maybe another candidate for the oven trick?

Sounds like you got a card that someone already bifffed the OC on. If they pumped too much V into the card they probably browned/blew the capacitors. If you have to underclock the card that much to make it stable then its a power management problem not a core/memory problem.

Definately file with paypal.
