Sapphire 6950's - Crossfire Yes or No? - Page 5

2 of em running together will max out just about anything with 1 monitor. Most people would say this is wasteful, but if u have the money why not They'll also do well at higher reses too

And I may add another monitor. From what I've heard having 2 monitors is a pretty nice setup for anything, not just gaming.

Although its nice, there is no need to rep me for my posts all the time
thanks though

Also, with a second monitor keep in mind your graphics will be stressed twice as much.
When gaming you might want to disconnect the second monitor for "Moar fram3z!"

That's actually not true anymore... Almost all of the modernish games I'm playing on max settings aren't maxed out.

BFBC2 and Metro 2033 maxed out are on the borderline of unplayable for me, with a single 6950.

You'll need 2 more for Eyefinity. 2 monitors will just give you 2 of the same picture, or 2 different desktops. Unless you stretch it across both screens, but that looks terrible.

Really? I played BFBC2 with 2x 5770s??? No problem at 1920x1080 4xAA and all max settings. 1 was terrible though. But one 6950 should be better then 2x 5770s.

One 6950 should give you around 60 steady fps in BFBC2. It's just that games feel sluggish below 90fps on my monitor.
