Micro ATX HTPC Build

Thread Starter
I am looking for suggestions on a Micro ATX build. I'm aware of the recommended build in the sticky, but that's about 3 months old, so just looking to hear if things have changed since then.

The machine just needs to handle HTPC machine tasks, nothing else will be going on that machine. My archives will be stored on another machine, and it will stream from there on a wired connection.

Intel HD integrated was recommended, but from what I've read it doesn't support true blu-ray FPS, so should I stay away from that?

I'm looking for suggestions for the best bang for my buck, at the lowest price.

You must have a budget though.

Personally I'd just go with an i3 in an M-ATX board. Cheap as chips and works really well.

with intel hd graphics instead of showing at 23.789 FPS(in not sure the exact decimal) it shows it at 24 FPS which results in a added frame every .. 9 min? i think... it was if you can live with that its fine, some people its noticeable others aren't so much. if you want a dedicated graphics card you can go with a 430 from nvidia, ati a 5570. Also do you have any ceterain power restrictions you want to stay with-in (ie under 150 watts, 75 watts? etc)

Edit: i would go with a i3 2100t, since its got usb 3.0 and a few other things ( or for more of a tighter budget a i3 550 ) with asus (evga, gigabyte) motherboard personally and use a nvidia 430 (it doesnt have the graphic FPS problem) since power you said in the post below is not a requirement

My next question:

How does a video card fit in a micro case?

Currently I'm looking at this:

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

MSI 880GM-E43 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 133 (PC3 10666)

AMD Athlon II X3 435

I'm at a total of $240 right now, missing a case, psu, and graphics card..

As you can see, I changed my mobo from what was recommended, because I found what I thought was a deal... ($60). Any opinions on that change?

I am looking at the ATI HD 5000 series for bitstream purposes (at the moment its not a big deal breaker, but I'd like it as an option).

SO back to my main question, how do you fit a card like this

edit: does low profile mean it will fit a micro case?

XFX HD-545X-ZHF2 Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card - 51.99

look good?

Was actually wondering about this card myself:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500019

Only cause it's not just generic onboard video.
