BSOD while playing games

Ok I have had quite a few problems lately as some of you may have seen me posting.(perils of being a noob) So I once again need the help of you pros out there.

I will be playing games and after ahwile my computer will freeze the game for a split second followed by distorted lines then BSOD, then reboots. Ive caught the bsod a few times and it seems to say different things each time. Once it said "IRQ_not_less_or_equal_to", another said "Memory (something)", and others I forgot. The only game to freeze without BSOD is AvP I just have to end task on that one. I have two 6950s crossfire and a overclocked phenom x 6. Everything im running is in my sig.

I have also had scalling issues in most games, and had a horrible time even overclocking just to 3.8. Im starting to wonder if it is a memory issue, processor issue or bad graphics card? I figure I would get some help from people that know whats up.

I did catch a pic of one blue screen the rest rebooted way to fast for me to catch. I tried the memtest boot diag. but did not tell me mutch. I am now at stock speeds for everything and still get it. Its not all the time but randomly always either while gaming or running prime95. I have a strong suspicion its memory but not sure below is the only screen shot I was able to get. But remember the message is sometimes different. Please give me some advice.grouphug.gif

I remember once it said Memory management Bsod

Got this off of some forum, the guy had x4E as well.

•Check your hard disk for any issues using the chkdisk command. To activate it:
1.Put your Windows 7 DVD in the disk drive.
2.When asked, boot from the DVD by pressing F10 or any key on your keyboard.
3.Now, check your Language, Time, and Keyboard Input in the proper section and press the Next button.
4.Click Repair your computer.
5.Select the operating system you want to perform the check.
6.Click Command Prompt.
7.A black window should appear on your computer screen.
8.Type chkdsk and press Enter.
9.Done.

If your OC-ing it's most likely a stability issue. Someone said online that it could also be PSU but I doubt that.

ALSO: run memtest 86 to rule out memory issues smile.gif

see if that helps =o

You are getting memory instability.... is the memory speed/timings/voltage properly set to rated?
Memory Isntability, it seems that you have made an unstable Memory overclock or OverVolt.
Set the memory back to it's default settings, unoverclocked, back to normal voltage and timings.

I think your ram's defaults are 9-9-9-24 and volts should be 1.5v. I'm NOT sure on this, so you should google it first.. hopefully you still have the box that came with the ram?

There is no need to keep it at 1333. 1600 should run fine at rated timings (try 2T command rate) or it is a defective kit and should be RMA'd. You should be getting the most performance out of your RAM.
