Using an old install on new hardware?

Well I just did it..


Works just fine.




went from 775 to 1156 and from a GTX 570 to crossfire 6870's. No issues what so ever.


Awesome. Was skeptical but got my old drivers removed via driver sweeper and then booted fine.

I'd still go thru Device Manager and uninstall any old devices it's still seeing and then run CCleaner and clear out all temp files/registry entries just to tidy things up.

I gotta say with something like this, it's usually hit or miss, and I'd always recommend against it if possible, but a win is a win!

Hope it stays stable for you and no other issues for a long time.

Yeah I was expecting to have to reinstall and mess with all my games... I was gonna be sad


but works great. 4ghz already too. lol love this little i3
