So maybe we should pay 30$ now and 30$ later when they add color biggrin.gif

Also to those saying DX11 doesn't matter, you double standard little children. Why is it that I see most people with a DX11 card ?.
These are the same people saying it doesn't matter, go figure.

Also looking for a reason to justify my purchase of DX11 cards, damn strait you little kids, "what would be the other reasons for buying a DX11 card ?"

I am pissed about this crap, another group of people happy with another DX9 game when we have DX11. I am seriously puzzled as to why people are happy with this crap.

If the game is fun then good on it, but I would of thought that it would of been a higher priority to have the best graphics, and that is DX11.
But what ever, all the developers have to do now is pump out a POS like COD and all the little kiddies will eat it all up.

It's this that is holding the gaming back, nothing more.

And that's exactly why im so pissed off on Crytek they are sell outs.
I can understand making Crysis 2 multi platform is a good move business wise but PC version is total BS it's evident that we come second and less important here.

I couldn't care less dx10 vs dx9; I just don't see a difference. I can tell the differences that things like tessellation make on a game though. This is why I don't see a reason for dx9 on a game made years after dx10 was released on the PC platform. Further, the lack of configuration options show that the PC is a second-class citizen for this release.

@some people
Some people here seem to be under the impression that performance is so much better because of optimizations. This is only true in a VERY limited way. Crysis had some optimization problems (most seemed to be fixed with some reconfigurations), but the reason for the sudden "boost" in performance is mostly due to simplified geometry, smaller textures, limited effects, and a MUCH smaller draw area. Simply put, this game gains performance at the expense of quality.

I DID support Crytec in the past. I realize that they have no obligation to me, but I also have no obligation to them. Since I am not obliged to buy this port.... I won't.

Yet some people still fail to see that .. or maybe they just don't want to ..... anyway +1 for you sir. thumb.gif

That picture just gives an example of why some people in here should take it down by about 4 levels and just let the game come out before they judge, but they won't because they're emotionally invested in the hateraide. It's worse than an AMD v. Nvidia fanboy thread. There's Team DontknowifWant, Team Hateraide and Team LettheMFingGamecomeoutbeforeyoujudge.

Also let us not forget nVidia is also responsible for false advertising, they sell you a shiny new GPU which says on the box: ZOMG directX 11 is the new sh**znit it's going to blow your graphics out of the water and make everything ultra realstic, then you start to play games and they are all directX 9 ports from 5 years ago.

PC gamers get so much gaming hardware marketed to them, a day can't go by without a new gaming keyboard or mouse or GPU coming out, but when it comes to actual PC exclusive titles that use it to its' full extent there's none.

The whole C2 soundtrack is EPIC. When in the jungle in C1 was some of the best audio I've heard in a FPS, I was coming from the XBOX 360 at that time and I was floored that a game can sound that way. I've been gaming on PC since then.

That's not false advertising, that's just the American consumer's inability to simply say "No thanks." You'd be surprised how many people go through life on auto-pilot.

Nvidia isn't false advertising, it does support dx11, just because devs are not putting out dx11 titles doesn't mean that they are lying.

Also, Metro 2033 comes to mind in your last statement. Also Just Cause 2 does as well.
