I'm no benchmarker, but I might be a tech nerd, dunno. But what I know is that I'm a gamer.
The difference between you and me is just that I care about technological advancement and when a game like crysis 1 comes out I rejoice. And when the sequel comes out with a technological step backwards I feel deeply disappointed. i'm sad because crytek didn't take that leap in graphics as they did before. I care about the gaming industry and IMO running in circles, using the same API, the same old multiplayer ideas etc. is not doing gaming any good.
I'm sure that just purely going by SP gameplay Crysis 2 would probably be a great game. It's still not a worthy sequel to crysis 1. You said it yourself a few pages back. Normal consumer takes everything that's handed to them, I think I'm going to use my own judgement this time: Crysis 2 is not the game I want it to be. And no I probably won't change my mind a few hours later when it releases.
