{2}Because only 5-6% of gamers have DX11 cards at this point, and because DX version has no bearing on what makes a game good.

{3}Crysis was a mediocre game that looked great. Because the game taxed hardware of that generation it became used as a benchmark. That doesn't mean Crytek is obligated to put Crysis 2 into that same category. They made and engine that efficiently runs the game on all three of the targeted platforms, so they could get games out the door that will make them some true profit and have an engine that they can sell to other companies. Patching the game with DX11 as an afterthought is something they're likely doing because they still care about the PC community.

{1}. When I say full use I am talking about the use of DX11 not to push it till they bleed in the corner.

Microsoft make something that is made to make the development easier and run easier on the hardware, why not use it.
To me it's a stupid notion that one of the so called best game creators has all this at their disposal and don't use it.
I am not saying "here lets bugger off the console players" what I am saying is "they are known for having the ability to make the most demanding game, so why don't we add the settings to the computer version to make PC's weep"
While doing that have the folders for DX9, DX10 and patch DX11(which I don't think is good enough)
So now this one average shooter (like all the other console shooters) is able to satisfy all walks of life. But now all we are face with is yet another COD.

But beyond that, it's the game play that will make it a winner. But from what I and played on the Multiplayer demo "I" was not impressed with the new mechanics.

{2} I have to agree and disagree with you on this one, how are we supposed to move along in the gaming industry to new standards when everyone is happy with this old tech?

No graphics don't make the game solely, which I have said before. I was expecting at least the PC version to just be that little bit more. Am I saying that I won't buy it, no I am not. But I'll be stuffed if I'm going to pay top dollar for yet another console port either.
But that being said, if the single player campaign is good then I might just buy it.

Is it just me or have we gotten used to this spoon fed crap, people say it's awesome so it must be. Oh please, this is the exact same cycle that Apple is going through.
All the little fans say yeah this is good "I have only been playing games since the Xbox 360" but everyone says it's awesome, so I had better line up in the sheep dip line.

{3} I am not asking that it get put into any category at all.
It is them putting it into a category, the console port category. As for them giving a toss about the PC community, it was obvious a while ago that they where quite happy to give us PC users the finger all the way to the bank.

I think it's great that they have an engine that can do all, I really do and I cannot wait to see what else comes from this engine.
It is the fact that they gave us the finger entirely that craps me off, also a patch isn't going to do much in the way of DX11 if it wasn't built to take full advantage of most if not all the features.

I may not see eye to eye, but I do respect all opinions on the matter.
Anyway if your going to get the game, why not write a full in depth review on it?

Prove that this game is worth buying.

I dont care what any of you say, the graphics in this game are amazing when youre actually playing, and the graphics in multiplayer are dumbed down compared to singleplayer. Singleplayer looks amazing.

but this? oh no, this is the last straw. this is a slap in the face/spit in the face/shoe in the face/middle finger in the face from crytek.

crytek. why? why have you let us down like this???
and i literally JUST preordered.

somebody kill me. this is too much.
if crytek doesnt give us DX11 and sandbox 3 in a later patch (1.1 or something like that) then i will drop crytek from my PC supporter list.
current list:
Valve
DICE
iD
Blizzard
Crytek

crytek used to be above DICE. now look at them at the bottom!
I BITE MY THUMB AT YOU CRYTEK
this game better have a KILLER storyline and be loads of fun. if it sucks, bye bye crytek.
Lol'd, hard!

yes it does look good, but we're in 2011(DX11) not 2002(DX9). I think beating the same horse for 9 years is a bit much though.
