Here's my slant on the situation. Definitely go 2500k, don't buy a RAM cooler, you'll never need it. You probably will never use bluray, I mean if you do, go for it, but if you're not sure, then the extra seventy bucks you'll save is better spent somewhere else. I highly suggest overclocking the 2500k, you can easily pull 4.6 out of those will minimal voltage increase and little to no damage to the chip. Like Rabbs said, the extra thermal paste is a waste, the noctua stuff is great. Other than that, looks like a good build to me!

On a side note, having never heard of this "superflower" case, I actually really like it! That's a sick case for a good price, especially with the painted interior! Good call on that one.

thanks man.... i really appreciate that......
yeah... i might not buy the ram cooler as D14 IS TOO BIG and ram cooler wont fit.... and i wont be OCing the 2500k now as i don't need the extra power now but will surely OC after some years when new, more demanding games come out..... for now no oc is good enough for me......
and for the case,,, i was about to go with antec 600 but then i saw this beast!!! But i dun know if it is a midi or a full tower?
and for bluray... i watch bluray movies on the player that i got with my house.... but now im moving so i need a new bluray player.... so i thought why not add it to my pc.....

OMG this thread scares me.

First of all-are you planning on using this PC on the 1080p monitor in your list?
If you are,you are buying a 2nd GPU for nothing, along with about 700w more psu than you need. The SSD is waay to small for that budget.

Second of all,if you have fried 2 cpu's,do not overclock this one.

Thirdly, not all advice given in this forum is correct.Be patient and wait for further input before jumping to conclussions.
An i7 2600/2600k
8GB RAM
128GB SSD OS drive
1TB HDD storage
1 HD 6970
Antec 750w.More than enough for 2 GPU's(which would be more than enough for 3 of your monitors in eyefinity)

He doesn't need a bigger SSD... I have a 60GB and it's just OS and games, I run 3 or 4 games at once plus OS. All of my other documents and programs installed on my 1 tera gives me more than enough speed and also enough storage. You're definitely right on the single GPU... I don't know why I didn't say the same. On the PSU, if you're only running one GPU, 600 or 700 watts on a good PSU (Corsair, Antec, SeaSonic) is all you'll need. Explain to me exactly why he needs a 2600 instead of a 2500? Also, don't go 6970, go 6950 and unlock it using this guide:

EDIT: Did some research on that superflower case, it'll fit an eATX board. You're safe unless you want an SR-2 haha

If by too big you mean TOO AWESOME?! D14 is a wicked cooler. I have a buddy who pumps 1.45v through a phenom x4 965 for 3.8GHz and it's always under 47 degrees...crazy stuff.

My rec. were based on how much money he had to spend. No reason not to get the i7(especially if he doesn't overclock). The SSD size for the same reason. Also it is best for wear to have a larger size SSD,plus your GB per dollar is higher. You would be surprised how fast an OS drive can get filled. My system is 1 month old and it is 75GB.Sure I can keep it lower-but who wants to constantly manage your OS drive if you don't have too.
