Is the Cooler Master V10 compatible with Sandy Bridge?

Thread Starter
I heard that the mounting hardware supplied with the V10 isn't quite compatible with Sandy Bridge. Is this true? Is there a place to buy the correct mounting bracket to use with the V10? Could I use the mounting hardware I already have (with my hyper 212+)? Thanks

Yes. If it supports Socket 1156, it will support Socket 1155.

Also you cannot use the mounting hardware for your 212+... it just doesn't work (or you can always give it a try and prove me wrong)

Yes, it will. All 1156 coolers will fit 1155.

That's what I thought, but what got me thinking otherwise was the last post here, and the fact that on Newegg, the V10 doesn't say "Compatible with Intel Sandy Bridge" like the V8 and V6 GT.

Terrible and overpriced, and underwhelming.

For the price you can get a rasa 240

Thanks for the advice. I was really hoping to get a good looking heatsink for my HAF X case (since all you really see through the window is the heatsink). If the Noctua NH-D14 was good looking, I'd be all over it.

What do you mean "if".. the D14 is WAY better looking than the V10..
