Evaluate new i7-2600k build! And some questions

Long Version:

Hey everyone, so heres the situation. I have $1300 and will be building an overall powerful machine, on which I will game as well work in photoshop etc. What I have right now:

i7-2600k
8gb (4gbx2) corsair vengence 1600mhz
MSI P67A-GD65 b3 mobo
Antec Trupower 750 (know its overkill but its modular and $89 on NE)
Radeon XFX 6950 2GB
OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTX60G (I THINK this is the 34nm version, am I correct?)
CM HAF X
CM Hyper 212+

Using bundles on NE and microcenter CPU prices, this ends up being around $1300, just in my budget.

So yeah. I REALLY wanted to make this a red/black themed build, but there are no good looking and cheap red/black mobos, so I chose nearly everything in a black/blue color scheme. Are there any sub $200 mobos that are good and in a red/black color scheme? Any help appreciated.

Short version:
1. Eval specs above
2. Is my Vertex 2 ssd choice good? (check model #)
3. Any sub $200 red/black mobos that I can use?

THANKS!

Are you putting the HAF X and 912+ as options or are you buying both?

To me, that PSU seems a little bit cheep(AKA quality isn't good) but i could be wrong since you didn't say if it was on sale. If your interested here's an article on PSU's which i personally found quite helpful. Also check out the list of recomended power supplies.

I dont know of any red/black mobo's but IMO i would go with a mobo that fits your needs over one that looks nicer.

The OCZ Vertex 3 is coming out soon i believe, so you may want to wait for that.

The rest of your build seems to be fine, but IMO you should go with the HAF 912+ because the HAF X is very much overkill and you will never use it to to fullest. But if you don't mind that its REALLY BIG and it costs a lot more, then go for it

Antec PSU are fairly good, no need to change that. Why would u get a i7 for get an i5 its will suit ur needs, then put the extra hundred on a better ssd like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148348

Kind of wondering if the Hyper 212+ will fit if you have the Corsair Vengence Ram, since that seems to sit pretty high.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Phrydmog: idk either, I mightvjave to change that
Nawon, a haf x is a case. A cm hyper 212+ is a cpu cooler. Also, I like big cases and dont mind if a case that is easy to build in takrs up an ectra cubic ft in my house.

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTX60G (I THINK this is the 34nm version, am I correct?)

the only sure way to tell is "after" you buy it and use the tool OCZ put out in the toolbox to make sure what die size it is not even OCZ knows read up on their forums. I would recommend the Mushkin or the Crucial, GSkill
