+1 reppp thanks guys it was definitly a thermal paste issue but i might just call them back and still be pissed rofl... as taking it apart after a fresh RMA is still UNACCEPTABLE.....
Applying a proper mount is going to help, but the fact of the matter is, that card does NOT have any sort of VRM cooling at all, and the stock cooler is laughable at best for the amount of heat that GPU puts out.
You really should RMA it and push for a PROPER card out of them. If not, then sell the new card in box, and buy a better company's 4890 to use in your crossfire setup.
And yes, you should use the highest percentage rubbing alcohol (you can find, I'd say 75% being minimum) + coffee filters / Q tips.
