P67 Mother Board Help (Picking One Out)

Thread Starter
Well, I'm thinking about selling my i7 920 and mobo for a i7 2600k and a 1155 mobo. The question is what is a good mobo for the 2600k? I was looking at the ASUS Sabertooth p67 B3 TUF but what other ones are good/better then that?

I would go for either the P8P67 Pro or the Sabertooth P67. I have the Sabertooth that im using in my Sig Rig. Anyways, I dont think you'll get a better board than those from ASUS.

*There is P8P67 Deluxe but its pretty much the same as p8p67 pro with a few added ""

You aren't going to find a "bad" performing mb with Sandy Bridge. SB aren't as dependant on their mb as the 1366 systems are. Anything with 8+ power phases will work (more is nice to have, but not needed).

Asus Pro/Deluxe/Evo/Sabertooth, Asrock Extreme 4/6, Gigabyte UD4/5/7 are all good boards.

Here is the difference between the ASUS boards.

I would just get the P8P67 unless you have some crossfire / sli plans in the future.

i7 920's not that bad of a system, I'd hold off at least a couple months and see how the platform matures. The z68 chipset is expected next month and while some people have rock solid p67 systems, some of us have gotten nothing but garbage.
