What PSU should I get? - Page 3

Hahahahahaahah, the newegg calculator tells me I need 813w for my rig! I'm not sure this silverstone 850w is enough... must go get 1kw!...

Umm... no... wait... I could run this thing on a 650, I did for a while, I only swapped to get modular and more native PCI-E connectors... Wait, this would mean that the PSU calculator from a store that sells a lot of power supplies is intentionally tweaked to make you buy a bigger and more profitable unit than you need? Whoah, that's a big leap to make there..

Or not...

I'd suggest investing a little extra money into a Corsair PSU. A seven year warranty is amazing.

not much difference between HX and AX except I believe the AX is made by Seasonic and HX is made from CWT (The new design). other than that they are pretty similar but you do pay a little more for the extra 2 year warranty on the AX.

Back to PSU guys! haha So if I go with the HX will that fit in my HAF X without any problems? I've read on here that sometimes they cables aren't long enough and it has to be put in upsidedown.

If you don't mind the looks of THIS unit, I would go for that instead of the HX850. It's cheaper and the performance of the two is identical. I'm not sure about the length of the cables, though... maybe someone else will be able to answer that.

You are spreading false information... Stating 1000W is "the minimum" for this system is plain wrong. If it's your opinion that's one thing (it's still wrong), but the way you say it like it's a fact isn't the way to go about it.
