Roccat Kone+ ( and Valo )

Thread Starter
Hello guys,

Browsing the forums for some tips. Just recently read the review thread about Kone+ and there are many interesting facts. I would like to ask both of you gamers, and those who specialize in hardware functions, what setting would you recommend for my Kone+.. Heard UE3 uses higher DPI then other games ? is that true ?

I am playing CS 1.6 , MW2 and Black Ops from the FPS games... Dawn of War II - Retribtuion as RTS and few others.. if it matters. I would like to get max out of my mouse.... Thanks for any info on this.

Because i use Valo from Roccat as a keyboard, any info about this is also welcome.

Regards,

Shadowness

i have been using kone+ for 1 month plus now... here is what i felt with this mouse.
1. mouse's have been switching profile itself lately.. bad bad BAD!
2. the "cat" logo peeled out faster than any mouse i had used. bad bad baaaad!!!
3. works smoother with a "steel" pad. yes hard ones that make noises like "kang kang kang!" (but mousefeet wear and tears faster)
4. it works like a charm but sometimes i feel its too big for my hands and i lost the 'feel'. fyi i have long hands FINGERS :/
5. protect your mousefeet, so far i don't see any aftermarket feets for kone+
6. software can be a sore sometimes.
7: (advisable) once u had install the software and the firmware. DO NOT uninstall for just to update the latest ones. (unless u had a major software issues)
8. 6000dpi is shiat for cs1.6 rly.. ***.

mousepad i had used: steel 4s(the old one), 5l, qck+, sp and zowie G-TF. and i would say the G-TF is a big win, followed by 5L.

Yeah the coating on the kone+ is the worst I ever seen otherwise its not a bad mouse

and as for the dpi settings its better to keep it low as higher dpi seem to cause some acceleration on the avago 9500 sensor
