Somehow it's giving me the impression that it's a bit blurry when I view the full image. But in it's resized version it looks nice.
So sexy it Hz

Dude, great job! If this is your first, it's only going to get better, keep up the good work!

Not bad, I would likely have gone with a bit faster shutter speed and perhaps bumped the iso up a tad (the moon will be pretty forgiving grain wise).

The moon is quite grainny to me, and it looks like you didn't apply noise reduction to individual pictures before combining them into a HDR.

The moon is fairly bright and with a 70-200mm and 2xTC you can get better details without the need for HDR. One use of HDR on the moon would be if there is clouds in front/around it illuminated by moon light and you want both to be properly exposed. (This would require a camera with bracketing that is around +/- 5 or 7 stops instead of the usual 2 stops).

I don't know about anybody else, but I like the moon without HDR more Sure it's not as detailed, but it's clear.

what settings were you using? also which mode, I just took afew photos of the moon but they all seem too bright, I've tried adjusting appature and exposure time but they still seem too bright, also it seems I can't fully turn the flash off while in mode A/S/M, only had the camera afew days though (Nikon D5000) just trying things out and trying to get used to it, my first DSLR

edit, figured out how i can stop the flash, my shots are much better now, moon isn't as bright, can acctualy see the detail, my settings still need tweaking but as I get better at photography I will learn about what settings are best, would still like to know what settings you used if you don't mind
