ahh, get rid of the 'Half-Life 2' part you will get a choice what to restore afterwards.

Do I rename the backups? Sorry about all of the replies and stuff. I am not good with programs like this frown.gif

nope, keep everything the way the backup made it.

assuming 'E:\Steam Backups' is where you backed up to, it will work (notice no \ after Backups).

  1. Install 7zip
  2. In the backup directory, find the archive of the game you want to restore.
  3. right click -> 7-Zip -> Extract Files...
  4. navigate to your steam folder
  5. open to 'steamapps/common'
  6. extract the game to there

I haven't used winrar in ages, if it supports 7z archives, then sure.

This program requires .NET Framework 4.0 to run.

^ Improved the data that is written to the info boxes.
^ Update Backup button now only selects archives that already exists.
+ Update library will update all available games.

Not easily, It is written in C#. however it could be ported to Mono with a bit of work.

I have only ever used mono with unity, so i'm not to sure how it works with GUIs.

Feel free to fork my code though if you have the know how.
