Even if using that code above with only 2 threads will greatly increase the speed. My rig can run 6 instances of 7z quite happily.

i'm working on the code now so stand by for another update

v1.1.0 will be allot faster than the previous version .

well i have finished 50% of the code. the backup can now use up to 4 threads until the whole thing it backed so in theory its about 380% faster than the previous version ^.^

I can't figure out the best way to do the same for restoring though. ill need to wait for FiX to come back online to do that .

yeah that would work, but i was looking for a way so it could run multiple instances at a time (user selectable). like a while loop that looks for *.7z and then adds it to cmdTask[]

Hey Guys i have updated the prog to v1.1.3

it now can run multiple instances at a time with both the backup and restore function! I have also improved many other parts of it.

Dont worry guys, were still working on it Next version should have a statistics report (its opt-in) which should show the averages on graphs on my site. Just getting the PHP done atm
