Is this a good deal?

Thread Starter
hi, im planning on eventually upgrading my dell inspiron 580. I got it for christmas and so far im highly satisfied with it i would just like to add a new video card, which means new psu also. I know the 6850 is around the same area as the gtx 460 which i was also looking at, but this is a bit more cheaper. How are these brands? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.613591 thanks in advance

Sapphire is great. Never heard of RAIDMAX..
for 40$? I wouldn't risk with that, the rest of the sys is way too expensive..

*winces*...I wouldnt trust a raidmax PSU in any computer... Get a seasonic, antec or corsair series PSU...they are rock solid Power supplies, but ultimately the choice is yours...

Decent PSU, but 500W is not a lot of power. It'd be fine for your setup I guess, but if you wanted to add a second video card in the future, you wouldn't be able to.

Not at all. I've been using them for years. (not this particular, but the brand is reputable)

im prob not gonna really be upgrading that much more.. i mean i have a 5450 right now that jump to a 6850 will be fine for a while haha. I bought oblivion when it came out.. and i had an old dell and it wouldnt play it so i wasted my money... then 3 years ago i got a new one and i was like oh yess i can play it now on good settings!! ehh not really. Now i can somewhat at like 1200x1024 but its just funny how ive had this game and others for a while and im just looking forward to playing them on high settings and finally taming them. My monitor atm is a viewsonic that maxes at 1400x1024 res but im most likely upgrading to a 1080p in the near future. Idont know if that was quite relevant.. but i felt like sharing! lol

Also, would it be better to get a 5850 than a 6850? Because the price difference isnt much.. as long as the product is nice http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125318
