In my opinion:

You don't need a quad - a dual core Athlon II is more than enough.

AMD 8xx series chipsets use more power and cost more than 7xx series chipsets, but don't offer any advantages.

Why do you need 2 NICs?

You don't need a lot of RAM - 2GB is enough, 4GB would be more than enough. Cheaper RAM is also fine as there's little benefit in overclocking this system.

What's the F3 for? If it's just for OS, buy a small 7200rpm laptop drive instead (no point in high capacity and they use less power & case space).

Your case is very expensive - unless it's going to be on display buy something cheaper.

1. you dont need a extra network card with 1gbit connection, the onboard one also has a 1gbit connection
2. RAM is way to expansive, got myself some cheap RAM DDR3 though for 45 euro (Kingston ValueRAM 1333Mhz is fast and cheap)
Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 2 x 2 Go PC10600 CAS 9 for €43,49
or
OCZ DDR3 2 x 2 Go PC10600 Gold Edition for €44,99

3. you dont need a quad core like Beast said (E7500 here)

but damn 1200 euro for a NAS? mine is damn cheaper and runs great

i went with a Sempron 140, 2GB Ram, MSI M4A something mobo, 2x2TB drives (expanding as need be) and a 500GB OS drive, is quick and doesnt struggle with win 7

Your title mentioned ZFS but your post and the replies have been noticably absent of any mention. I couldn't quite comprehend exactly why ZFS was special/more useful than other filesystems (I just new it was some how) until I some how found this forum post. If you need an explanation of it that is by far the best explanation I personally have found.
