You can't really expect generic 1333 RAM to even OC. I've seen quite a few kits that won't even handle a budge in the clock speed and/or tighten to around 1333 8-9-8 but go no further no matter what. I guess the build here doesn't involve OC-ing; but as I said, there's better for the price, which is why I usually recommend 1600Mhz kits all the time. Because this is going to be doing RAM-intensive CAD work also, the performance may not be as optimal at generic speeds/timings.

The Athlon II x3 should be fine on that mobo but don't overclock, don't unlock, of course.

The PSU I'm not sure about; I know the Rosewill 630W models are good but not too sure about this lower end 430W. At the very least it's probably better than the CX430.

MIR's do not count as cheaper. Since takes 30-90 days if you even get them.

It actually booted at 3.8GHz on stock voltage/cooler.
