Wait didn't someone said they got their pre-order early and saw DX10 folders as a installer folder? Am i mistaken? 3 more days biggrin.gif

Bad sales will tell Crytek and EA they messed up, and betrayed the trust of the pc gamer.

There was a bit of confusion over the source of the latest screenshots released. Which platform did they came from? PC?
I think they were a mix. There was one 360 and the others were PC. But honestly, the PC version hasn’t been shown off yet at all. They were rendered out of PC but at console settings. The PC settings aren’t being disclosed at all right now. We haven’t made any screenshots yet that show the PC settings.

A little over a month ago. My 2 cents, the leak is a leak is a leak is a leak and doesn't represent final product. DX9 at launch-- so what? Wait and see before you judge.

still think its rediculous that crysis 1 was in dx10 , the sequel in 2011 is in dx9 .

Funny crytek , doesnt make sense .

You don't make sense. DX9 on Crysis 2 looks better than any DX11 title to date and runs significantly better then its DX10 counter-part.

What is with the irrational PC elitists?

I have to admit, DX9 Crysis 2 looks amazing. Still looking forward to the game. Time will tell.

im gonna go out and say that after reading most of the posts in this thread, some of you cant even call yourselves gamers. well you dont deserve to i mean.

i mean, are you actually buying everything you're selling? "oh its not DX10/11 IM NOT BUYING IT" ... "oh the graphics arnt what i expected, BOYCOTT!" and all the other crap everyone is spitting out.

i hope none of you buy it and miss out, coz it seems like a sick game, i've been playing the BETA and cant wait for full release, and if the graphics looks like the BETA, we'll be smiling all the way through the game.

i am also finding it absolutely hilarious how everyone is trying to compare this to the first Crysis. listen to yourselves. when Crysis 1 came out, for like the first TWO YEARS everyone complained about how the graphics were great but the game 'wasnt optimised' and 'didnt really look THAT great' and bla bla bla, there was a huge hate bandwagon for Crysis.

AND, how many times, when a new game comes out with DX10/11, do you all sit there and go "aw, DX10/11 doesnt even look better or run better anyway, DX9 runs better im gonna install it on my XP machine..." and you whinge about how DX10 or DX11 isnt being used properly.

ooh wait, here comes the "but this is 2011 and DX10/11 should be here by now, (enter game name) uses it, Crytek said they would, whinge whinge whinge".

sure Crytek seemingly lied to us (whats new) or they tooted their own horn too loud and couldnt get it to work how they wanted. you know what devs do, they go with what works. thats kinda their job, and as much as i love how everyone here seems to know more than the devs (hat off to Google search and Wikipedia) what seemed to work for them in order to give everyone the best experience, was a DX9 platform. which is still not 100% confirmed as the only DX engine for this game, i dont see how they could just "patch" it in anyway without it looking tacked on, plus that wouldnt please you all either.

so Crytek said they are looking after the PC community on this one. well our version will look a LOT better thanks to the hardware, from the BETA and the demoes it seems very optimised for all platforms, so it seems everyone gets to enjoy the experience that is Crysis 2. if you cant handle that, heres a bag of cement and a glass of water. wink.gif

why cant you all sit there an go "hmm ok, well DX10/11 was a joke for this title, it appears as though it may not be coming. but wait a sec, lets consider that what they've achieved with the game so far is only DX9..."

isnt that a huge round of applause for the DX9 achievment? to be able to make DX9 look and run like they have? of course i would love a few more extra visuals, im a BIG fan of the new tesselation, but still. for DX9 Crysis 2 is mindblowing, its mindblowing anyway.

the majority of you, are simply a bunch of spoon-fed sheep. im willing to bet the majority of haters are going to get this game, probably pirated coz thats what whingers and spoilt brats do when they dont get what they want, they just take it anyway, and "stick it to the man yeah!" and you'll love it coz its a fun game to play, really fun. and it looks amazing. and now our console counterparts get to experience the same thing. thats what gaming is about, the experience, and sharing that experience.

ffs you're all full of ****, seriously.

this isnt the golden age of PC gaming anymore, those days are long gone, deal with it. everyone cries that the devs need to evolve with the rest of the industry, use the latest DirectX, etc etc... well they are evolving, its just not in the way everyone wants, and no one seems to be able to handle that.

awww frown.gif

and dont rip on the COD series when you're comparing a game to it, dont pretend like you dont lilke COD, everyone who likes FPS games likes and plays COD. nuff said.
im not complaining about the graphics.
in previous posts i was a HUGE crysis 1/2 supporter. i loved crysis 1 and never complained about 'optimization issues'. it is still THE BEST LOOKING GAME AVAILABLE, and with uber texture mods, its orgasmic.
Crysis 2 however, is upsetting to me because of these reasons:
all the lies
no vehicles in MP
dumbed down nanosuit options
lack of Cryengine3 Sandbox (for now)
custom graphics settings
Prophet kills himself (killed off the black man! ***sad-smiley-002.gif)
BUT
im happy for Crysis 2 for this
the BEST LOOKING DX9 GAME
loads of new weapons! SCAR CARBINE FTW
interesting setting
aliens that dont fly around you all the time.
Cryengine 3 is amazing

so idk what to say yet. oh btw this is what my desktop has looked like since january 2011 (new year, new theme)
by no means im a crysis hater!

I agree except with this last bit. COD started dying after COD4, WaW was still good, but the latest installments are yucky.
