you need a p67 mobo to run an lga 1155 chip

Swap out the HDD for one with a 64 MB cache. Also, I'm not familiar with Highpower for a PSU manufacturer. I don't skimp on PSUs ~ perhaps go with a Corsair or something more well-known for its robustness?

Also, three sticks of ram is going to be a problem for the 1155- architecture, seeing how it has a dual memory controller instead of the triple (like the 1366)

Other than that, looking pretty good

Afraid a few things wrong...

You picked an 1155 CPU and 1156 Mobo, you would best look into a H67 mobo or get a 2x00k 1155 CPU and a P67 mobo if you plan to overclock.

Also you would be best getting 2 sticks of memory to use dual channel.

I would ditch the PSU in favour of a better brand (corsair, antec, seasonic etc)...

Will you not need an optical drive?

Just had a look again, definitely wrong mobo
Would a P67 be overkill if i don’t intend to O/C

Will look into corsiar PSU (thx for that), would 650w be enough if an ad another 6950, later on (much later)?
Still contemplating blue-ray drive or not...

Wrong.
It needs a lot of work.

To OP:
Unless you want Epeen dont waste your money on an i7. get an i5 and a proper motherboard. if anything an i7 will hurt performance compared to an i5.
Dont bother 64MB Cache. Waste of money just like SATA3 6GB/s. And a Samsung F3 will be a better boot drive than the WD you have selected.
Better PSU is needed. If you are spending that much money on a computer get a Seasonic X650. Its worth every penny. Corsair makes good stuff, but its nowhere near the best you can get.

Other stuff that im not in the mood to explain because i just got home from a work.

No, it's not overkill. Also, if you plan to get a 2nd HD6950 you better off get a P67 board.

As for the PSU, get a known brand as previous poster said. 650w should be fine if you don't plan to do any extensive OC'ing.

You NEED a P67 motherboard to run a socket 1155 processor.
