I can't wait to see some games that will actually push the new 6990.. I hope developers start taking full advantage of tesselation - the potential is huge.

The guys was using early BETA non optimized drivers. Useless video. Just wait for 2X 6990 against 2X 590. With only 1.5Gb of usable VRAM, lol the 590!

Wait for some real official drivers before making any judgement.

And the 6990 will easily go over 1000 with a waterblock. I'm already there without one.

too much stuttering on the ATi cards.

the 580's were buttery smooth in comparison.

What a crock. Run it over vs 3 6970s or hell 3 6950s unlocked, then look at that price tag, 750 vs 1500!!

Wow just watch this one, and damn I'm glad I didnt pick up the 6990. Might not even get the 590 and just go for Tri-SLi 580s, its freaking beast!

Why is it that 3 580s beat Crossfire 6990?

Why? Because AMDs aren't very good at tesselation, and the extreme tesellation setting was selected. Same with AVP.

To be fair, the top of the line should be awesome at the best settings, but without tesellation I'm guessing that the 6990s would see a fair performance increase. Not sure why in the 2nd video they're usin 1x AA also. Seems a little unfair for a 4GB VRAM card to only have to hit up 1x AA.

Cool vids though, a shame there's nothing out there that can really make use of these cards.
