Question about monitor

So I am thinking about buying a new monitor and I am honestly fairly new to the technical aspects. About 3 years ago I went from 15 inch LCD to a 22inch westinghouse. And to me at the time all that mattered was size because I wasn't sure what I was really looking for monitor wise.

At the moment I have this: http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors...=mncolBtm;rnav

I am looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236117

Basically I am wondering if the Asus is any good, I am so new to looking around at monitors. Basically I play games all the time and I wanted a true HD resolution monitor with an HDMI port and a 2ms response time. And this Asus one came up for me. Just curious about peoples opinions and if I would see a huge difference switching from the Westinghouse to the new Asus. Thanks in advance if I don't respond fast!

Alrighty, I might take a deeper look at the Asus. I am still trying to figure out why some monitors are .5inch and some are even tho, hmm.
