Absolute max temp for E6400

I know Intel says 60.7 or something close (didn't look it up again)

Do you think 64 cel absolute max will cause any damage to the cpu?

IIRC 75c is what people refer to as a maximum safe temp.

60.7 as an absolute max? really? i suppose thats not unreasonable i never ran my 6550 over 43 but then thats because i couldnt clock it high enough, id already hit 3.6...

EDIT: id never run a processor over 60 on a full time basis but 70 is far closer to a max safe temp for benchmarking and general overclocking purposes assuming once you hit your clocks you start to drop ur core etc to bring that temp down for long term use

I use sandboxie which is 100% cpu and stays at 62-64 cel temps for several hours at once. I'm running the E6400 @ 3.2 ghz @ 1.35 volts on a zalman 9500
