well i tried the latest cpu z but it shows all fields BLANK!...... only one thing appears and that to is incorrect.... in package it shows some 989 rPGA whereas its 1156m

try updating the bios, if downloading the latest cpu-z shows no good results

probably.... i cannot update the bios coz i think its of hp....
i think i cant over write it
also i think hp motherboard 1423[its my laptops mobo] can have the problem......

one more thing i cant get speedfan to access anyrhing of my laptop... nither fan speed nor tempratures..... is that also possibly because of bios????

There is no 1156m... Your CPU is PGA988/989.

but still my laptop has toasted my legs...

im sure now this is a bug.... even the latest cpu z is not able to show anything....................................

but wouldnt it be nice if my laptop really ran at the spped othe last thumbnail and didnt cooked????

It could be software related or a driver causing the problem. You could try booting into safe mode and then run cpuz, if that doesnt work try downloading a program called hwmonitor and see it that works. Good luck

cpu frequency now appears to be stable but gpu?????
