Crysis 2! OK, what gives?

So, you see my pc in my sig? My MSI HD4850 plays the Crysis 2 demo at 45FPS Avg on 1280x1024 HC. From what I read this is better than would be expected. They didn't even test this Gen from what I can find, and as many of you would agree it's past it's time. So what's the deal? Is this where it should be?

Yeah, are you running everything maxed out, and what resolution, you probably will see your FPS drop as soon as DX11 comes out for it.

DX11 doesn't work that way, and he only has a 4850 so he won't get to use it anyway. Nice logic.

And the resolution is 1280x1024

Crysis 2 isn't as demanding as the first, long story short they changed the setting and optimised the engine so it can cope on consoles, so of course any half decent pc can handle it.

Thanks for a worthwhile answer, and the screen res correction

I figured that was the reason, but wondered if I missed something.

4850 HD is suitable for resolution of 1680*1050 , and for some games 1920*1080

since it is DX 10.1 card , no question about DX 11

4850 is an awesome card. I used to run those in crossfire and they handled crysis pretty well. Considering Crysis 2 is DX9 and doesnt look much more demanding then the first, its no suprise.
