The resource is this very forum smile.gif At a certain point there were many many threads of ppl whose mobos burned silently or caused fire. All MSI, all with x4 and x6 Phenoms.

That is why everyone avoids MSI now smile.gif

Didn't you say the M4A87TD was fine? If it is, go with that smile.gif If you feel like gambling, go with the MSI, there is a chance that everything will be fine.

I'll try to find a thread about those MSI boards wink.gif

Here is the thread:

http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/943109-why-vrms-big-issue-why-choose.html

There is a very long explanation and the thread is very good and informative. What you need is the list:

List of mobos with burned MOSFETS- 90% are MSI smile.gif

Also go to this thread:

http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherboards/946407-amd-motherboard-power-phase-list.html

And switch the sheet between MSI and Asus and see for yourself- Asus - everything nice and green, MSI - huge red warnings wink.gif

hey you are surely right!!!
i was thinking about msi as it would be a bit cheap alternative at about 5000 rupee or 100$ where as the asus one would be costing me more......

That said I WILL STICK TO ASUS! thanks!!!
i dont like risking it esp on my new pc!!!

Otherwise i have run my Pentium D 805 @ 3.06 ghz uzing stock cooler and 2-3 additional fans!!! still working!!! smile.gif

Anyways thanks one again!!!!

Sorry mate but you did it wrong multiple times
1. 1055T + cheap 4+1 phase mobo (say goodbye to any safe overclocking)
2. 1055T + generic 1333 CL9 RAM (say goodbye to any overclocking past 3Ghz)
3. Single channel RAM (Say goodbye to all that performance potential)
4. Coolermaster low end 400W PSU bundled with case (Say goodbye to your entire rig in a few weeks time... never skimp on PSU quality; heck I'd rather skimp on a board than a PSU because a bad board doesn't have the potential to crackpow your entire PC)

Prepare to have to tank a few hundred dollars on some part replacements, unless you haven't purchased yet

Then again you're in India, don't know if you have much choice there
