Need a new PSU, but I dont know how BIG - Page 2

GTX260 is a 192w GPU, with SLI scale, OC the cpu, the number is around 570w. That 650w unit probably can do 37a on 12v. So you need a solid psu can do 50a on 12v. Make up the budget, I am sure members will pick one for you. Atm, you can take a look at the Antec new TP-650 if you don't plan to upgrade soon or TP-750 if you may upgrade soon.

Is there any chance my Xclio 650W will run my new system? I mean will it handle the load of say... Bad company 2 and the likes of Cod5 (only 2 games I play). Or is it a safer option to upgrade.

Also, I have a 450W PSU upstairs, whats to stop me running both of them, 450W for the motherboard and 650W for the cards or something like that? Or are there complications in doing so.

I think you're confusing the HX750 with some of Corsairs older HX units. The HX750 (which is a CWT DSG) is one of the best 750w units currently available. May be a tad overpriced, though.

@OP A TP-650 would do you fine. 750-850w for two GTX 260's is a waste of money.

I was wondering what your current unit is but you mentioned an Xclio 650W. I'd replace it. A good 650W unit would be perfectly adequate. In the US the Antec TP-650 is the best value one can get these days.

My point exactly. It is a good power supply though, no doubt bout that

A 600W is more than enough.

To be safe, get the Seasonic X-650.
