I <3 anecdotal evidence.
Question for you guys: Why, if more VRAM is important for higher minimums (ie when your VRAM hits its cap you see a massive drop in performance, so if your card never hits the cap, you shouldn't ever see this drop) why do ATI cards, which typically have higher amounts of VRAM than their nVidia counterparts, have much lower minimum framerates? Look at a 570/580 vs a 6970 2gb. Or a 480 vs a 5870 2gb. Doesn't make sense to me if VRAM is the limiting factor.
